Louisiana Archaeology Month - Participation Form
Are you interested in participating by planning, hosting, or leading an activity? Please complete the required information below for a complimentary listing on the event calendar. Events should occur in October and be open to the public. Archaeology Month activities might include a lecture-series, special guided tours, exhibits, living history demonstrations, active archaeological site visits, a film series, or a display of books on Louisiana history or prehistory.
As you plan your activities, please consult your local calendar for events that may compete for audience attention. Especially consider local high school and college football games, homecoming, and opening dates for hunting season.
All submitted participation forms will be evaluated for the potential to generate an understanding of archaeology and encourage the preservation of archaeological resources. Individuals and organizations with eligible events will receive notice of approval by August 15. If you have any questions, please contact the Louisiana Archaeology Month Coordinator, Nancy Hawkins.
