Carville Walking Tour
Price: Free
Time: 2 PM to 4 PM
Walk the corridors of the only National Leprosarium in the United States. First patients arrived 1894. Visit the museum to learn their stories. Doctors and nurses, the Daughters of Charity, lived here as well, battling the ancient disease of leprosy. Arrive at 2 PM for the historic documentary that sets the scene of the hospital's establishment at 3 PM the curator guides the group through the covered walkways and into hospital buildings. Group limit: 12, registration required. Last Saturday, each month. Museum, 5445 Point Clair Road, Bldg. 12
