St. Francis Cabrini Church
Comments: Since this is about preserving history, what about preserving the history of the Holy Cross Institition of educating young men for the last 126 years in the New Orleans area. I feel this far outweighs preserving a building that is only a little more than 40 years old. A building will not help the City of New Orleans move forward, but people, like educated young men, will help the City move forward. A church is not a building. A Church is people. Any people can gather anywhere to have a mass. I am sure there will be some sort of Chapel on the new campus. I am sure at the request of residents in the nearby neighborhood, that it could possibly be made available for worship at certain times. People need to look at the big picture, educated people, in this case, young men, will help the City go forward, not abandoned/empty buildings.
