Cabrini, 5500 Paris Ave
Comments: FEMA, I do not think that it serves Holy Cross to ask people to honor its historic past when asking for Cabrini to be torn down. I understand why they don't want to be in the 9th Ward but that doesn't justify their moving here and tearing down part of my life. They sustained enough damage to give them an excuse to move. If they truly want to be part of the neighborhood then they need to consider how the neighbors really feel. We want Holy Cross but not at the expense of Cabrini. Books, models and photos will not compensate us for our loss if Cabrini is torn down. What will the caption under the photos say...DESTROYED DUE TO INCONVENIENCE.

I will never be convinced that this is for "the greater good". Father Meastri worked out his plan and the ARNO went along with it and they have been crawfishing all over the place since. The church wasn't damaged beyond repair and it dosn't need to be destroyed for a school that hasn't half the students that were on the Cabrini site before Katrina. Holy Cross made a promise to the neighborhood. They will be judged by how they honor it. They need to begin with Cabrini. If they can't embrace our community how can they expect us to welcome them?

Cabrini Forever!
