Cemetary Cottages, Holt, Lafayette #1, Lafayette #2, Carrollton #2 in Orleans
Comments: I strongly object to the request to demolish these historic cottages. They are a unique part of our rich New Orleans culture and should not be destroyed.

I also object to the crippling reduction of the staff of the HISTORIC DISTRICT LANDMARKS COMMISSION which regulates building and renovations i in all of the Historic Districts in the City of New Orleans, except the French Quarter, which has a larger staff than the HDLC.

In addition to Garden District and Uptown neighborhoods, The HDLC includes the architecturally significant 7th and 9th wards including Treme. The two top people at the HDLC are now doing two jobs as a result of the cuts and we are losing precious old houses due to demolition by neglect.

The one unique Tourist and Residential attraction that out city has over all others in the US is the treasure trove of fine architecture in all of our old neighborhoods. If we do not protect this our City will have lost itself at the hands of pour own City Govoernment
