Comments: The original footprint of the school was never designed to accommodate as many students as the school is trying to accept and tearing down the historic cottage, one of the very few left in the city, will changed the original design of the school and change the characteristics of the neighborhood. The new modern design does not match the existing building and 10 Ft set back from the property line will decrease sunlight and invade privacy of the neighbors on pine st. The community meetings that OPSB held was a absolute joke and none of the concerns that the neighbors voiced has ever been addressed. These proposed plans are changes that the neighbors will have to live with for the rest of their lives and FEMA and OPSB should be more receptive to the neighbors so we can work hand and hand and make this school the best in the city. This school has thrived in the past because of neighborhood support and the school board and FEMA should recognize this fact and consider our opinions.
