affected:
5500 Paris Ave NEw Orleans, LA
Comments: My parents, sisters and myself were present when this parish and church were formed. We were one of the first parishes in the then "newly" developed areas of Gentilly. This parish survived fire (the first church was destoyed) and now flood. We want Holy Cross to relocate to this property, but not at the expense of losing our church. Wy can't we have both? For those who are in favor of demolishing our church, I have two questions - Do you live in this parish? And if not, what right do you have to decide that my family should not have a place to worship. We were not even given the opportunity to vote in this matter - since the vote was not announced. The parishioners should ALL be given the opportunity to express ourselves via a vote. After all, this church is the property of the parishioners and not the Archdiocese.
