||I am still trying to understand why this is still being debated. The church needs to be torn down as soon as possible, because the residents of Gentilly and the archdiocese want it that way. Holy Cross will not keep waiting, they will just move elsewhere. If the residents (and past residents)of the area are excited about having the school there, why won't they just do it. If we need a link to modern architecture, look at St. Pius X. They were (are) both pretty ugly, but are from the period we are looking to hold onto. PLEASE, TEAR THE CHURCH DOWN SO ATLEAST SOMETHING CAN REVITALIZE A VERY HISTORIC SCHOOL AND NEIGHBORHOOD THAT IS QUICKLY DYING.
