Comments: To whom it may concern, 7/1/06

My name is John Andrews and I'm against the demolition of 4019 Dauphine St. I have been trying to expropriate this house from Nora since May 17, 2004 and I have not had much luck from them. For some reason I have had a hard time trying to get Nora to get the ball rolling and I have not been able to contact the owners. I can save this house and get it back into the real estate market. I'm currently restoring an 1840's creole cottage which was an expropriation and renovated an 1890's shotgun which I lived in for a couple of years and then sold it. Currently, I'm living in an 1880's side hall shotgun which was on the Bywater house tour a couple of years ago and received an award for the renovation from the HDLC. I'm a local contractor/carpenter and work on nothing but old houses right here in the Bywater/Marigny area everyday. I have the financial backing, subcontractors and the know how to handle these old houses and put them back the way they were originally. The problem is I have not received much help from NORA on this house or from anyone else to try and purchase it. I have already contacted the HDLC on it and told them that I wanted the house and not to let them tear it down. Supposedly, I'm on the file for this house as a contact if they found a way for me to purchase it. So, if you would like to save this house and you need someone to purchase it and you can help make this happen I'm the one who would like to save it. Iif you can help me purchase it please feel free to give me a call. Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely,

John W. Andrews III
