Comments: My Grandparents were charter members of St. Francvis Cabrini parish and I have very many fond memories of going to church on Sundays with them at the church. My grandparents were probably the biggest contributors to that parish and if my grandfather was still alive and my grandmother was still of sound mind(bye the way she is still alive at 91) he and she would be front and center leading the fight to save the church.
So I feel it is my duty to speak for them.I don't see why that church cannot be repaired and used by Holy Cross as their Church/auditorium.
From what I have heard St.Aug High has been holding their graduation in that church for years. This is one of the biggest,if not the biggest, churches
in the city capacity wise.I believe and anybody that knows the area around the church that there is plenty enough land around the church to build the high school and keep the church. What's Holy Cross going to do?
Tear down the church and build a smaller church and a big auditorium so
then they will 2 buildings to take care of.This is the way I believe my grandparents would feel if they could speak their mind and believe me if they were here to speak today Holy Cross would have a bigger fight than they could ever imagine on their hands.
