||My decision to rebuild and return to the neighborhood was wholly predicated on the Holy Cross deal to relocate to the Cabrini site. Then FEMA decided to indulge in this pointless exercise, and my decision has been again postponed indefinitely.
Simply put, this neighborhood will *never* come back properly unless FEMA allows Holy Cross to serve as an anchor. Everyone in the area knows it, and that's why it looks more or less as it did right after the storm.
This is absurd. Virtually nobody wants this. It's been 18 months. Please don't keep our lives on hold any longer. Let us come home.
