St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church, 5500 Paris
Comments: Mindful that most architecture which is dated will at some distant future become recognized for its individual merit, this location can serve a greater function by giving the community a new chance.

You can have a church there, but without a community, without people, it will never truly serve the higher function that it was created for. In allowing Holy Cross to start a new chapter at the St. Frances Cabrini site, the land can bring new life to an area which sorely needs it.

People in the area, and across New Orleans, will have a place for young men to get a great education. New families will move to the area. Local businesses in the area will benefit. The community will grow and all shall benefit from this.

Perhaps a new, strategically placed church/chapel, could be built on the grounds to serve the dual purpose of chapel for students, and mass for the community on weekends, holidays, etc.

Regardless, the idea of Holy Cross in the community is very exciting and I think will bring a new life to an area that is in dire need of it.
