International Pow Wow marketplace buy-in opportunity

International PowWow - Las Vegas - June8-12, 2013 One buy-in space for U.S. Travel Association's 2013 International Pow Wow marketplace is available in the Louisiana Office of Tourism's triple booth. The $3,000 buy-in includes booth registration and official functions, but not travel expenses or the Media Marketplace. The show is June 8 – 12 in Las Vegas. Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne

Louisiana hosted a successful breakfast at the Travel South Showcase in Little Rock February 17 – 20. Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne keynoted the Louisiana Soundtrack-themed breakfast and wowed the audience with information on Louisiana's history and tourism products and shared some traditional Cajun humor. The Louisiana 33-person delegation included the state delegates: Assistant Secretary of Tourism Kyle Edmiston, Mary Williams and Misty Velásquez. During the showcase the state met with nearly 60 media and tour operators.

Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne's Music Ambassador Award
  Louisiana Music Ambassador Project
The Lt. Governor's Louisiana Music Ambassador Project is seeking musicians who can provide a Louisiana presence at major national or international music festivals and events. Musicians will promote Louisiana's music and cultural heritage, encourage visitation to the state and provide content for www.LouisianaSoundtrack.com. Ambassadors will be selected through an application process. Qualifying music events must be located outside of Louisiana, be at least three years old and attract at least 10,000 attendees. Seal of the State of Louisiana   Competitive Grant Program Deadline is March 15
The purpose of the Competitive Grant Program is to encourage and support marketing and Project Enhancement Initiatives that will contribute to Louisiana's tourism industry by attracting and retaining visitors. The application deadline for the Competitive Grant Program is March 15.

EyeforTravel - Twitter recently announced an advertising application programming interface (API). According to eMarketer, Twitter ad revenues hit $259 million last year. TechCrunch predicts revenues could rise to $1 billion in 2013. Twitter is set to make its inaugural travel industry appearance at EyeforTravel's Social Media and Mobile in Travel conference in San Francisco this month.
