Chicago sales mission
Prior to LACVB's participation at the Chicago Blues Festival, the Louisiana Office of Tourism will host a sales mission Wednesday, June 5, and the morning of Thursday, June 6. Interested CVBs can register one delegate to represent their organization. There is no cost to participate and delegates are responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements. Space is limited.   New Shreveport law requires limo and taxi drivers to take tourism training
The Shreveport city council has voted to require for-hire drivers such as limo, shuttle and taxi drivers to go through customer service and tourism training to attain their licenses. The 2-hour free workshop, called "Wow Training," is put on by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.
