LG LANDRIEU TO TESTIFY BEFORE CONGRESS ON STRATEGY FOR LOUISIANA REBUILD
To Advocate Louisiana Culture as an Engine for Economic & Social Rebirth
Washington, DC - Louisiana Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu is set to testify before Congress on the larger vision and strategy for rebuilding Louisiana, encouraging historical and cultural perspectives to be included in the decision-making process. Landrieu will testify before Members of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which has jurisdiction over FEMA, individual and public disaster assistance programs, and all the major infrastructure projects (including flood control) necessary for the reconstruction of the Gulf Coast region.
Lt. Governor Landrieu will give a summary of his testimony that will be available to Louisiana television stations via satellite.
