LOUISIANA STATE PARKS

CLOSURES RELATED THE AUGUST 12-13 FLOODING:

  • Bayou Segnette SP's campground will reopen Sept. 5, due to continued muddy conditions and associated safety concerns.
  • Bogue Chitto SP's bottomland campground and day-use area is closed until further notice, due to needed repairs to the bottomland lift station.
  • Lake Fausse Pointe SP is expected to open Sept. 19.
  • Tickfaw SP: the park is anticipated to reopen on Sept. 5, for day-use and cabin stays. The campground will remain closed for the next few weeks, pending testing and repairs to water and electrical hookups.
  • Port Hudson SHS' trails are open, with the exception of the west approach to Artillery Ridge.
